PRIVACY POLICY

INTRODUCTION

Amazing Grace Bereavement Care (AGBC) is committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of our customer’s nonpublic personal information. We want you to understand how we handle the personal information about you that we collect and disclose. This notice also explains how you can limit our disclosing of personal information about you.

HOW AND WHY WE GATHER PERSONAL INFORMATION

We only collect and use the information we need to help you meet your needs. Such information allows us to process your requests and transactions, keep you apprised of products and services that may be of interest to you, and enhance customer service by better understanding the need of your loved one. This nonpublic personal information may include:

  • Information we receive from you on applications, forms, and other information that you provide to us, whether in writing, in person, by telephone, electronically, or by any other means (such as your name, address, NRIC number, income, and credit references);

  • Information we receive from public sources (such as medical records, housing records, telephone numbers, etc)

INFORMATION WE SHARE

(a) Type of Information We Share
We may disclose all the information we collect, as described above.

(b) Categories of Affiliates and Non-Affiliated Third Parties that Receive Information from AGBC.

We may disclose all the nonpublic personal information we collect about you with our affiliates and with non-affiliated third parties. An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control. A non-affiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours.

In order to provide you with superior service, there are times where it may be beneficial to share all or a portion of your nonpublic personal information with our affiliates and with non-affiliated third parties. By sharing this information we can better understand your loved one needs.

We may also disclose all the nonpublic personal information we collect about you to affiliated and non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law. Affiliates and non-affiliated third parties that receive your nonpublic personal information agree to keep that information confidential and to use it only for the function that we ask them to perform.

(c) Disclosures of Information to Parties that Provide Services to Us

We may disclose all the nonpublic personal information we collect about you to companies that help us perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. Our agreements with these companies are subject to confidentiality provisions and restrictions that prohibit using the information beyond the performance of the specified services or in connection with the jointly marketed product or service.

HOW AGBC PROTECTS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND YOUR PRIVACY

We take our responsibility to protect the privacy and confidentiality of customer information very seriously. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to store and secure information about you from unauthorized access, alteration, and destruction. Our control policies, for example, authorize access to customer information only by individuals who need access to do their work.

WHO IS COVERED BY OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We provide our Privacy Policy to customers when they conduct business with our company. This Privacy Policy applies to consumers who are current customers or former customers. We reserve the right to amend (add to, delete from or change) the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we change our privacy policies to permit us to share additional information we have about you, as described above, or to permit disclosures to additional types of parties, you will be notified in advance.

RESTRICTING YOUR INFORMATION SHARING; OPTING OUT

No action is required by you if you wish to permit the information sharing as described above. You can direct us not to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to affiliated parties for marketing purposes. You can also direct us not to disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties. You may opt out of those types of disclosures, that is you may direct us not to make those disclosures. However, the right to opt out does not apply to disclosures that are legally permitted or required or to disclosures that AGBC makes to companies that perform services on our behalf or to other financial institutions that have joint marketing agreements with AGBC.

INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE

Your personal information will only be retained for the purpose of providing you with our response to your query and will not be made available to any third party except as necessary to be disclosed to any related entity for the purpose intended or as required to be disclosed under law.
